The ideal stay in Edinburgh, between the seaside and the center in a residential area. Airport very easy to reach also by public transport. The rooms are amazing and the owners are the kindest people ever. You won’t find anything better than this!
I forgot to write a review last autumn, but let me tell you- this guesthouse has the nicest owners, always making sure you are taken care of. Also, the house is absolutely dreamy, with huge window on the staircase, where you can take a book and read in the cosy nook on a gloomy morning. Very convenient transportation links as well.
I usually don‘t write reviews but we want to support a small, young business like this one after our stay about a week ago. We really liked how thoughtful the owners are of the small things you might not think about, including providing adapters for charging, having a place to share leftover bathroom items, lending out umbrellas and providing little snacks. 4 Friends is a gem! It’s run by incredibly friendly people, I’ve met Eric and Silvia, both were attentive, very kind, and genuinely helpful. It is one of those rare stays where the hosts make your experience so much better just by being amazing at what they do. The house is very clean and well designed, there is a supermarket right across. Thanks for making everything easy and pleasant. Looking forward to coming back
I had a wonderful stay at 4 Friends House! I was travelling alone and felt very safe there. Lukas and Silvia are so helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful and very clean, as was the bathroom. It's a very calm environment and in a quiet part of town, with bus stops close-by that run into the city centre. I got a fresh bottle of water from them every day, which was very much appreciated! There's a lovely greengrocer beside them too. I got quick and informative responses anytime I texted the hosts. Thank you for making my solo travelling experience a great one!! Stayed for two nights last week and enjoyed our time here. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were lovely. Loved the location, close enough to a few bus stops but away from the city center, so it's much quieter.
Went to Edinburgh / 4 friends house from Feb 19 to 22 2026 and had THE BEST time! Everything was superb, the atmosphere, rooms, bathroom, location but overall the most extraordinary lovely receptionist Eric who not only stayed up late because of a huge flight delay, he also was a fully ray of sunshine, helping us find a nice spot for my birthday dinner. Thank you for everything you did- I WILL haste back to ye!
Amazing stay with them, with great access to bus and tram to the central or port area! Great communication as well, ensuring that you are well informed. The staffs are really helpful and super friendly as well! I did stay at the single bed with a shared bathroom (the en-suite one is taken really fast so do book early) and have totally no issues, especially the bathroom is quite spacious. Bottle of water is provided daily which is nice. But just a note, there’s no elevators but the staffs are there if you need help with luggage. Definitely recommend staying with them if you’re in Edinburgh! They are really affordable and make sure you’re comfortable in your stay. (:
